| Abstract: | By analyzing the ups and down of the historical figures in Records of History and praising Si ma-qian’s outlook of life, the author stresses repeatedly the importance of the spirit of exerting oneself to become better. The author also emphasizes that the spirit of exerting oneself to become stronger is one of the magic weapons to succeed either in the past or at present or in the future. |
