Research on the Theory and Application of the Water-fog Fire-extinguishing Technique for Storage Tank in Rock Cavern

The mechanism and the calculating model of the Water-fog Fire-extinguishing Technique (WFFET) are introduced,the way to calculate the intensity of water-supply is provided, and the characteristics of this new technique are summaried. Compared with other methods, according to the surface cooling theory, and by the processes of gas cooling, oxygen insulation, heat radiation absorption,and flame penetration,the WFFET can be applied to control the fire and restrain the fire from breaking out. Less water consumption,lower price, pollution prevention and high efficiency are also the advantages of such technique, so. it is especially fit for putting out the fire in storage tank in rock cavern.
