| Abstract: | This paper first discusses the usual methods of image boundary tracking, and points out defects of these methods, then introduces the concept of the dummy pixel and dummy chain, some properties of dummy pixel and dummy chain are given. Based on this, a new method of the fast image boundary tracking is proposed,and an algorithm for acquisition of boundary chain code is given. The experimental results prove the method is effective. |
