摘    要:词汇是英语教学的重要组成部分。多年来,专家学者们都努力寻求词汇教学的最佳策略,但效果不是特别理想。认知语言学的发展,为英语词汇教学提供了一个新的渠道。结合军校战士学员自身的特点和英语学习的现状,从认知的角度出发,重视基本范畴词汇教学,培养战士学员的隐喻思维,利用隐喻巧妙记忆多义词,以此来探讨词汇教学。

Abstract:Vocabulary is an important part of the English teaching. For many years, teaching vocabulary still a difficulty and results in a poor effect, though some scholars and experts try their best to find best strategies of how to teach vocabulary. The development of cognitive linguistics offers a new perspective for English vocabulary teaching. According to the characteristics and English studying state of military solider students, the paper discusses how to teach English vocabulary from the perspective of cognition, paying attention to the basic category vocabulary and foster their metaphor thinking and making use of it remembering polysemous words.
