The Numerical Simulation and Experimental Study of the Gasoline-air Mixture Leakage in Underground Tunnels

Aiming to study the motion law of gasoline-air mixture leakage in confined space ,timely and effeetive.ly identify the accident potential, predict various types of accidents and prevent them from happening, and so to save people＇ s lives and properties, and based on the analysis of gasoline-air mixture leakage, a simulation model of gasoline-air mixture leakage is established. Coupled with the pressure and velocity fields＇ SIMPLE algorithm, the gasoline-air mixture leakage in underground tunnels is numerically simu- lated ,and the result of numerical simulation is almost in accordance with that of experiment. The research shows that the gasoline-air mixture leakage in underground tunnels can be divided into four stages, which are embryonic stage, linear growth phase, growth rate decreased stage, and growth stagnant stage.
