| 摘 要： | 对于大学的内涵、大学的精神，历来有不同的诠释。本文认为，大学之谓大学、之为大学，主要体现在大学的重学、博学、为学上，即体现在学校重学风、教员重教学、学员重学习上，体现在学科博、学问博上，体现在以学员为本、以教学为主上。

| Abstract: | There has been quite different interpretations for the meaning and spirit of a university. In this paper, the authors argue that the reputation and the qualities of being a university lie mainly in the importance attached to teaching and learning by the administration, the devoted teaching of teachers, and the diligent learning of students. They are also concerned with the variety of disciplines, the learnedness of the faculties, and the student-centered and teaching-oriented principles. |
