The Connotation of Fortress Besieged

The article has explained intension of the title and the main characters of the Fortress Besiesed from the view of the name and aesthetics. Analyzed the life tragedy of love , marriage and undertaking of Fang Hongjian, the leading character. It has revealed the spirit crsis, the Invisible City of the intellectual, who were far way from the war but influenced by the Visible City early in the war of Resistance Against Japan. The For- tress Besiesed symbolized the individuality, family life＇s journey and contradiction psychology and contained rich life philosophic theory.
