As an important links and key steps in modem precision strike systems, target damage assessment, which plays a central role for the intelligence support in precision strike warfare, is one of the important contents in target sup- port. From the assessment methods, model and systems, the article summarizes the latest research progress in target damage assessment techniques at home and abroad. The advantages and disadvantages of each assessment methods, model and systems were reviewed. Finally, the direction of future research in this field is pointed out.
