Recent progress on transition metal oxides and carbon-supported transition metal oxides as catalysts for thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate

As a main oxidizer in solid composite propellants, ammonium perchlorate (AP) plays an important role because its thermal decomposition behavior has a direct influence on the characteristic of solid com-posite propellants. To improve the performance of solid composite propellant, it is necessary to take measures to modify the thermal decomposition behavior of AP. In recent years, transition metal oxides and carbon-supported transition metal oxides have drawn considerable attention due to their extraor-dinary catalytic activity. In this review, we highlight strategies to enhance the thermal decomposition of AP by tuning morphology, varying the types of metal ion, and coupling with carbon analogue. The enhanced catalytic performance can be ascribed to synergistic effect, increased surface area, more exposed active sites, and accelerated electron transportation and so on. The mechanism of AP decom-position mixed with catalyst has also been briefly summarized. Finally, a conclusive outlook and possible research directions are suggested to address challenges such as lacking practical application in actual formulation of solid composite propellant and batch manufacturing.     

Dynamic routing of prioritized warranty repairs

Recent years have seen a strong trend toward outsourcing warranty repair services to outside vendors. In this article we consider the problem of dynamically routing warranty repairs to service vendors when warranties have priority levels. Each time an item under warranty fails, it is sent to one of the vendors for repair. Items covered by higher priority warranty receive higher priority in repair service. The manufacturer pays a fixed fee per repair and incurs a linear holding cost while an item is undergoing or waiting for repair. The objective is to minimize the manufacturer's long‐run average cost. Because of the complexity of the problem, it is very unlikely that there exist tractable ways to find the optimal routing strategies. Therefore, we propose five heuristic routing procedures that are applicable to real‐life problems. We evaluate the heuristics using simulation. The simulation results show that the index‐based “generalized join the shortest queue” policy, which applies a single policy improvement step to an initial state‐independent policy, performs the best among all five heuristics. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 考虑动叶出口最佳流型的径—轴流式涡轮多目标优化方法

本文以平均截面处参数α_1,β_2,μ, _1和m=(u_2/w_2)cosβ_2及动叶出口处扭曲规律为变量,以设计工况内效率和总重量为目标,提出了一个带有多种约束条件的径—轴流式涡轮参数多目标优化方法。所求问题为二目标有约束(二十九个)多变量(六个)非线性规划问题。介绍了用于最优设计的数学模型,给出了各种流型下径一轴流涡轮的单目标和多目标优化分析的一些结果。计算表明,所提出的方法是有效且实用的。     

基于Visual Basic故障诊断专家系统设计

从分析传统专家系统入手,把WINDOWS下的可视化技术和面向对象技术引入到人工智能程序设计中来。讨论了故障树模型的面向对象表示方法及其推理算法。根据雷达故障诊断中的典型故障树,给出了一个基于Visual Basic语言的故障诊断专家系统设计实例。     

Shock-induced reaction behaviors of functionally graded reactive material

In this paper, the ballistic impact experiments, including impact test chamber and impact double-spaced plates, were conducted to study the reaction behaviors of a novel functionally graded reactive material (FGRM), which was composed of polytetrafluoroethylene/aluminum (PTFE/Al) and PTFE/Al/bismuth trioxide (Bi₂O₃). The experiments showed that the impact direction of the FGRM had a significant effect on the reaction. With the same impact velocity, when the first impact material was PTFE/Al/Bi₂O₃, compared with first impact material PTFE/Al, the FGRM induced higher overpressure in the test chamber and larger damaged area of double-spaced plates. The theoretical model, which considered the shock wave generation and propagation, the effect of the shock wave on reaction efficiency, and penetration behaviors, was developed to analyze the reaction behaviors of the FGRM. The model predicted first impact material of the FGRM with a higher shock impedance was conducive to the reaction of reactive materials. The conclusion of this study provides significant information about the design and application of reactive materials.     

尾流温度场对其速度场的影响与加热减阻

本文利用LDV—02型激光测速仪,在循环水槽里测量了加热和非加热流线型细长旋成体尾流的速度分布和湍流度,并把Hama&Peterson的半经验理论(它适用于非加热体的类似尾流)修正为本文的半经验分析,较好地描述了尾流温度场对其速度场的影响,还从测得的尾流速度数据推断出加热对水下运动物体阻力系数的影响。     

流体力学中基本方程的特征方程及特征曲面

本文根据偏微分方程组的特征理论,讨论可压缩流体力学基本方程的特征方程和特征曲面,同时结合可压缩流体流动的实用例子,阐述确立其特征方程和特征曲面的具体方法。     

小波包变换和支持向量机模拟电路故障诊断方法

为提高模拟电路故障诊断效率,将小波包变换和支持向量机结合起来,提出了一种完整的模拟电路故障快算检测和准确定位的方案.利用小波包变换对电路输出电压信号进行多层分解,提取各频带的能量作为故障特征,给出了具体的特征提取方法;利用支持向量机的多分类一对一方法,完成电路的故障定位,同时实现了小波函数的选择.在一模拟电路的故障仿真实验中,通过与BP,RBF和PNN等神经网络对比,结果显示该方法的诊断效率是很高的.
