Tipping the scales: short-term interventions and counterinsurgency

Particularly in African operations, United Nations (UN) peacekeeping forces have faced significant problems in restoring stability. In at least a few situations, unilateral national military interventions have been launched in the same countries. In the cases of Sierra Leone and Côte d’Ivoire, the British and French interventions respectively played a significant role in re-establishing stability. Lessons from these operations suggest that if effective coordination and liaison channels are established, such hybrid unilateral-UN missions can in fact be more successful than “pure” peace operations.     

凹腔布置方案对气化煤油超声速燃烧特性的影响

针对两种凹腔布置方案,模拟马赫数6.0的来流条件,采用气化RP-3开展了一系列直连式燃烧试验。依据燃烧流场的可见光图像、燃烧室壁面静压分布和推力增益,对比分析了凹腔布置方案对气化煤油超声速燃烧特性的影响。结果表明,凹腔布置方案和当量比对燃烧室内的火焰分布、燃料的释热特性和发动机燃烧性能有显著影响。并联凹腔的火焰与释热主要集中在凹腔附近,燃料比冲对当量比不敏感;单凹腔的火焰与释热分布更加分散,燃料比冲随当量比的增加而提高。     

GPS时分二进制偏移载波调制信号的高精度无偏抗多径算法

二进制偏移载波调制信号将在卫星导航系统中得到广泛应用。全球定位系统的L1C信号导频分量采用了时分二进制偏移载波调制,对此信号直接采用码参考波形算法消除多径时的鉴别曲线收敛点存在偏差,从而影响测距偏差。因此,提出一种时分二进制偏移载波调制信号的高精度无偏抗多径算法。通过时分的方式分别生成针对BOC(1,1)和BOC(6,1)分量的本地闸波,以保证鉴相函数在码相位无偏差时等于0。由于更好地利用了BOC(6,1)信号分量,该技术在实现无偏跟踪的同时,还能提高跟踪精度。     

The effects of model parameter deviations on the variance of a linearly filtered time series

We consider a general linear filtering operation on an autoregressive moving average (ARMA) time series. The variance of the filter output, which is an important quantity in many applications, is not known with certainty because it depends on the true ARMA parameters. We derive an expression for the sensitivity (i.e., the partial derivative) of the output variance with respect to deviations in the model parameters. The results provide insight into the robustness of many common statistical methods that are based on linear filtering and also yield approximate confidence intervals for the output variance. We discuss applications to time series forecasting, statistical process control, and automatic feedback control of industrial processes. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Analytic solution for the nucleolus of a three‐player cooperative game

The nucleolus solution for cooperative games in characteristic function form is usually computed numerically by solving a sequence of linear programing (LP) problems, or by solving a single, but very large‐scale, LP problem. This article proposes an algebraic method to compute the nucleolus solution analytically (i.e., in closed‐form) for a three‐player cooperative game in characteristic function form. We first consider cooperative games with empty core and derive a formula to compute the nucleolus solution. Next, we examine cooperative games with nonempty core and calculate the nucleolus solution analytically for five possible cases arising from the relationship among the value functions of different coalitions. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 基于改进遗传算法的平流层飞艇定点悬停控制(英文)

平流层飞艇定点悬停控制是飞艇应用领域的关键技术。该控制问题可以转化为非线性多目标优化问题来求解。遗传算法是解决现代非线性多目标优化问题的一种重要方法。但是基本遗传算法在解决定点悬停飞艇实际控制问题时,具有易陷入局部最优解、在遗传进化过程中随机性较强、搜索效率低下及耗时多等缺陷。通过借鉴并行遗传算法、模拟退火算法和向量评价遗传算法的基本思想,在基本遗传操作中添加切断算子和拼接算子,设计一种改进遗传算法来改善上述缺陷。仿真结果表明该方法是有效可行的。     

基于层间嵌入式多级支持向量机的特征选择

针对多故障样本一次性映射之后分类不理想,研究了多级层次式支持向量机,应用UCI数据仿真,结果表明该方法缩短了训练时间、提升了测试准确率、改善了样本的可分类性。由于误差积累,在此基础上,提出了层间嵌入式多级支持向量机,采用Abalone数据仿真,结果表明分类精度有所提高并减少了分类步骤。结合ReliefF算法,对制导设备的故障特征参数进行了选择。     

X射线脉冲星的波形及其对光子接收的影响

建立了X射线脉冲星的X射线传播模型,在狭义相对论框架下研究了X射线脉冲星的波形及其对光子接收的影响。计算表明:脉冲星发出的X射线位于螺旋形的波带内,波带各处的厚度不同;波带上各同相点与脉冲星的距离不相等,不同倾角处的探测器接收到的脉冲的时长不相同。

建立高效的天地预警系统对于赢得现代立体战争的胜利有着极其重要的意义。探讨了天地预警系统与机敏传感信息网 (Sm art Sensor Web)的构成 ,结合我国的部分研究现状 ,较详细地阐述了设计与构造天地预警系统所需解决的若干关键技术问题。     

The multiplicative representation for multiple objectives optimization with an application for arms procurement

Multiple Objectives Optimization is much seen in combination with linear functions and even with linear programming, together with an adding of the objectives by using weights. With distance functions, normalization instead of weights is used. It is also possible that together with an additive direct influence of the objectives on the utility function a mutual utility of the objectives exists under the form of a multiplicative representation. A critical comment is brought on some representations of this kind. A full‐multiplicative form may offer other opportunities, which will be discussed at length in an effort to exclude weights and normalization.
