Aluminium composites are inevitable in the manufacture of aircraft structural elements owing to less weight, superior corrosion resistance and higher specific properties. These composites reduce the weight of the aircraft, improve the fuel efficiency and enhance the maintenance duration. This study proposes the development of dissimilar grade aluminium (aluminium 1100-aluminium 5052) composites with different reinforcement’s viz., stainless steel wire-mesh, silicon carbide (SiC) powders and SiC powder interspersed wire-mesh, by explosive cladding technique. Wire-mesh enhances the friction and restricts the movement of flyer plate to craft a defect free clad, while SiC particles form a band on the interface. Highest strength is obtained when SiC powder interspersed wire mesh is employed as reinforcement. The dissimilar aluminium explosive clad with SiC particle reinforcement results in lower strength, which is higher than that of the weaker parent alloy and that of the conventional dissimilar aluminium explosive clads without any reinforcement. 相似文献

WEDM is used in machining conductive materials where it is required to obtained complicated and intricate shapes with high accuracy. Various applications are in the field of automobile, medical industries, aerospace etc. WEDM is an economical machining option with short product development cycle. Surface roughness, kerf width, Material removal rate, Recast layer hardness and surface microhardness in WEDM are most important responses. In this paper, effect of varied Wire tension on SR, KW, MRR, RCL hardness and surface microhardness on AISI 304 have been investigated. Pulse on time, pulse off time, current and dielectric fluid are taken as fixed parameter. Results show that Wire tension influences the SR, MRR and Surface microhardness and has no effect on kerf width in case of Stainless steel 304. 相似文献

为突破传统排水型两栖车辆“阻力墙”现象,提高两栖车辆水上航速,从蛇怪蜥蜴高速踏水机理出发,设计一种新型轮一叶复合式水上仿生推进装置,采用滑移网格和动网格方法对不同转速下的推进装置三维模型的动力学特性进行数值计算,并对仿真结果进行对比和分析.结果表明:滑移网格和动网格方法在计算结果上获得比较一致的结果,动网格方法更能反映模型的真实运动情况,而滑移网格方法在计算过程中表现出较好的稳定性,同时显著减少计算时间 相似文献

针对一体化弹丸出炮口后弹托由与弹体接触到绕弹托质心做六自由度运动的过程,提出一种基于弹托分段分离运动并采用动网格技术耦合流体控制方程和六自由度运动方程的弹托分离仿真模型。以尾翼稳定脱壳穿甲弹为例,仿真分析不同马赫数下的弹托分离情况,并探讨弹托和弹体气动系数在分离过程中的变化情况。仿真结果表明:弹托分离马赫数越大,分离轨迹越靠近弹体且分离时间越短,但对地分离横向位移越大。通过与试验数据的对比,验证了所提弹托分离仿真模型的准确性。 相似文献

针对现有弹性体网格变形方法无法有效抑制网格单元出现"负体积"和过度畸变等问题,引入体积弹性模量约束和挤压弹性模量约束,提出一种基于几何约束的改进弹性体法。借助Patrick网格质量参数,选取三维长方体边界在旋转、平移和伸展变形三种方式下的大幅度运动,对比研究引入几何约束后的改进效果。仿真计算二维NACA0012翼型的俯仰振荡和三维伸缩翼变形过程的气动特性,结果表明:基于几何约束的改进弹性体法显著提高了变形网格的鲁棒性,尤其在大变形时能够有效约束较差网格单元,改善经典方法存在的问题,可为非定常流场问题的求解提供有力支撑。 相似文献

During the last decade telecommunication operators have been deploying WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology to satisfy the exponential growth in global communication. While facilitating the advanced information society of today, this has also led to a higher dependency on the networks, and furthermore the high capacity utilization of optical fibers means that a single link failure will influence many users and enterprises. For these reasons, protection of network connections has become a major competitive parameter for the operators. Currently, the most popular protection method is ring protection, due to its simplicity, requiring only basic management functionality and operating with local restoration control. While many optical rings have been deployed, little work has been published on exactly what the cost of ring networks are, compared to general mesh networks. In this article we perform a quantitative comparison between ring protection and mesh protection, using real world network data and realistic prices for network components. Extending classic LP flow models to take rings and node costs into account, and using a link‐path based mesh network LP model, we are able to perform a total cost comparison of the two architectures, and of manual ring network design. The results suggest that the price of mesh network components must be reduced significantly to be competitive with ring based networks, and also that manual network design does not necessarily lead to the most cost‐efficient designs. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
