Energy continues to serve as the bedrock of modern economies and the main driver of modern society. For Africa, the production and supply of energy resources such as crude oil, natural gas, uranium, coal, biomass, biofuels and other renewables are an important source of employment, rents, taxes, royalties and profits. This sector brings in several tens of billions of dollars of revenue annually. The production and delivery of such resources, however, depend on critical infrastructures such as pipelines, refineries, processing plants, terminals, rigs, electrical energy pylons, substations, pump stations, vessels, and tankers. These infrastructures have been attacked by terrorists, insurgents, vandals and saboteurs, all of whom see them as targets against which to register their grievances and extract concessions from the state. This paper is a chronological account of some of the documented incidents of terrorism, insurgency, kidnapping, destruction, sabotage, and human casualties suffered in the oil and gas sectors in Africa between 1999 and 2012. It is based on data extracted from the databases of the RAND Database of World Terrorism Incidents and the University of Maryland's Global Terrorism Database (GTD). 相似文献

针对不同环境条件油气爆炸极限测试的特殊需要,研制了相应的测试实验台架和关键参数测试系统。对标准20L球形爆炸装置进行了改进,使之适用于不同环境条件油气爆炸极限的测定与分析,设计并构建了能够配制不同浓度油气的油气雾化循环配气系统、瞬态压力测试单元、温湿度测试单元和气体组分测试单元等。实验验证与分析结果表明:该模拟实验系统能够满足不同环境条件油气爆炸极限测试分析的需要,也可供其他相似可燃气体(液体蒸气)测试使用。 相似文献

载噪比作为评估导航信号质量的重要指标,直接影响着接收机的捕获、跟踪和电文解调性能。推导了基于国际民航组织二阶阶跃信号畸变模型下导航接收机采用相关、非相关处理时载噪比估计与畸变模型参数之间的解析表达式,并分析了畸变参数对导航接收机载噪比估计误差的影响。理论分析及仿真结果表明:数字畸变参数变化范围下导航信号载噪比变化在10-2量级,增大模拟畸变的振荡频率或者减小衰减频率将会提高载噪比估计值,模拟畸变参数变化引起的载噪比损耗可达0.1d BHz,畸变参数对载噪比估计的影响整体上都较小,因此导航接收机的载噪比输出不能作为监测导航信号是否异常的完备检测量。 相似文献

This study numerically simulated and investigated the flow field characteristics of a typical dual-pulse solid rocket motor with a soft pulse separation device through thermal insulation ablation under high-temperature dual-pulse erosion. The ablation rate of ethylene -propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) insulator was measured after the experiment. Experimental results were analyzed through scanning electron microscopy and microcomputed tomography. The ablation mechanism of the EPDM insulator under the operation conditions of a dual-pulse solid rocket motor was evaluated by analyzing the results. The results reveal that the internal flow field of the motor with a soft pulse separation device is uniform. The original charred layer existing on the EPDM insulator surface in the first pulse combustor is the decisive factor affecting the final ablation rate of the dual-pulse motor during the second pulse operation, and the ablation characteristic region is easily formed with the exfoliation of the charred layer. The ablation rate difference of the insulator increases with gas velocity. 相似文献

This paper considers the time difference of arrival (TDOA) and frequency difference of arrival (FDOA)estimation problem for joint localization using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs),involving range migration (RM) and Doppler ambiguity within observation interval.A robust estimation method based on interpolation and resampling is proposed.Specifically,the interpolation artificially increases the pulse repetition frequency (PRF).After that,the resampling eliminates the coupling between range frequency and slow time.Finally,a coherent integration step based on inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) is used to achieve parameter estimation and suppress the grating lobes caused by interpolation.The proposed method could be efficiently implemented by fast Fourier transform (FFF),inverse FFT (IFFF) and non-uniform FFT (NUFFT) without parameter searching procedures.Numerical experiments indicate that the proposed method has nearly optimal anti-noise performance but much lower computational complexity than the maximum likelihood estimator,which makes it more competitive in practical applications. 相似文献

瓦斯爆炸是煤矿灾害事故最主要的因素。瓦斯是以CH4为主,常含有CO2、CO、H2S、C2H4、C2H6、H2、SO2等的多元混合可燃性气体。随着各组分配比的不同,瓦斯的爆炸极限不同,呈现的火灾爆炸危险性也不同。利用HY12474型爆炸极限测定仪研究煤矿开采区常见的可燃气体混合物爆炸极限随组分配比变化的情况。通过对三组分不同配比混合气体的爆炸极限的测试,采用Taylor多项式,拟合出了常压下三元气体混合物的爆炸极限随组分配比变化的经验计算公式,并通过实验数据进行了验证,表明经验公式计算结果与实验数据很好吻合,具有工程应用价值。 相似文献
