脑机技术发展及其对军事领域的影响

进入新世纪以来,脑机技术作为“会聚技术”领域的核心技术之一,已经引起了欧美发达国家的高度重视．国内外众多著名的大学和科研机构在该领域已经开展了广泛深入的研究,并取得了一系列实质性的进展和丰硕的成果。文章详细介绍脑机技术的发展现状及其军事应用前景,为未来新概念武器的发展提供参考。     

The Towton Battle — A Reinterpretation

The paper re-interprets the implement known as the ‘Towton Battle Axe’ allegedly found in the river which borders the Towton Battlefield (1461), Yorkshire, England, and which now resides in Alnwick Castle, Northumberland. The paper provides parallels, in the form of comparisons with other weapons, in order that the Towton implement can be shown to be a modified former halberd dating from the early sixteenth century. It is, therefore, highly unlikely that the implement was used in the famous battle.     

超低能耗建筑的实践探索——以后勤工程学院绿色建筑示范楼为例

后勤工程学院绿色建筑示范楼是“超低能耗”理论的实践成果。通过理论研究和对当地气候以及建筑能耗的现状分析,综合采用自然通风采光技术、墙体自保温技术、建筑自遮阳设计等被动式节能技术,地源热泵应用、太阳能利用、楼宇智能控制等主动式节能技术,对示范楼进行了设计、建造。经过两年多的使用,各项节能数据的测定表明：示范楼节约能耗75．4％,实现了公共建筑超低能耗的节能要求。     

基于粒子群优化的模糊交通控制器设计

城市中存在着一些关键路口,其交通通畅与否会对周围路网的交通流起着很大的影响,这些路口需要优先保持通畅.针对此情况,设计了基于上下游交通信息的二级模糊交通控制器来对路网进行协调控制.在此基础上,提出了针对交通特性改进的粒子群优化算法（TIPSO）,并采用TIPSO对第一级模糊规则进行优化,实验结果表明TIPSO对模糊规则具有较好的优化效果,能够离线训练,获取到比人工设定的更优的模糊规则.     

The Bloomfield Throwing Knife. Analyzing an Improvised Shuriken to Appreciate the Derived Artifact

Once armed with only tooth and nail, humankind has displayed great ingenuity in creating weapons. One class of such artifacts, ‘improvised weapons’, once consisted of such items as a rock or bottle, but in an era of readily available manufactured weapons, now includes items created from spare parts in various environments. Using such a weapon as a case study, this article seeks to explore and analyze the derived artifact and understand it not as a piece of junk, but as a credible design product that provides insight into the designer and the motivations of artifact creation.     

鱼雷外形参数化建模平台研究

鱼雷外形建模是鱼雷设计过程中非常重要的一项工作环节.传统的鱼雷外形建模方法仅仅是利用了CAD绘图软件进行手动建模,但是在鱼雷外形初步设计过程阶段,往往需要对设计参数进行多次调整,这就造成了参数一旦调整就要重新建模,既降低了效率,也浪费了大量的人力和时间.采用了基于Java环境开发的参数输入界面,同时与UG/OPEN二次开发技术相结合,完成鱼雷外形参数化建模平台的搭建,开发出了较为简单方便的鱼雷外形参数化建模的方法,大大提高了鱼雷外形建模的效率.     

导弹武器维修保障装备规模优化

维修保障装备是在信息化条件下的导弹武器保持良好技术状态的关键组成部分。首先阐述了维修保障装备的概念,对维修保障装备体系结构进行了描述;然后立足于系统动力学理论,建立了考虑攻防对抗的维修保障装备规模优化SD模型,深入开展了维修保障装备配置仿真分析,得出了一些有意义的结论,并验证了模型及方法的有效性。     

改进的粒子群神经网络在飞控中的应用

针对BP神经网络对初始值敏感、容易陷入局部寻优且收敛速度较慢,提出用粒子群对神经网络的参数进行优化,同时设计了衰减的指数函数对惯性权重进行动态调整以提高算法性能.并应用该算法对导弹飞控系统的逆误差进行补偿,仿真结果表明,该方法对逆误差进行了有效的补偿,避免了局部寻优并提高了学习效率.

UN-Consistent: A Comparison of Australia's Military Interventions in Somalia and Rwanda

This article seeks to compare Australia's involvement in two key 1990s peace missions: those to Somalia in 1992–93 and Rwanda in 1994–95. While there are many similarities between the two missions in terms of time, scale and theatre, the differences are more important. Both missions are usually recalled as failures despite the Australian troops having been extremely successful in their roles during both deployments. Moreover the experiences with intervention in Africa seem to have forever blighted Australian participation in peace missions on that continent.
