On a class of multiple failure mode systems

The primary objective of this work is to introduce and perform a detailed study of a class of multistate reliability structures in which no ordering in the levels of components' performances is necessary. In particular, the present paper develops the basic theory (exact reliability formulae, reliability bounds, asymptotic results) that will make it feasible to investigate systems whose components are allowed to experience m ≥ 2 kinds of failure (failure modes), and their breakdown is described by different families of cut sets in each mode. For illustration purposes, two classical (binary) systems are extended to analogous multiple failure mode structures, and their reliability performance (bounds and asymptotic behavior) is investigated by numerical experimentation. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. When to commit in a serial supply chain with forecast updating

Negotiations between an end product manufacturer and a parts supplier often revolve around two main issues: the supplier's price and the length of time the manufacturer is contractually held to its order quantity, commonly termed the “commitment time frame.” Because actual demand is unknown, the specification of the commitment time frame determines how the demand risk is shared among the members of the supply chain. Casual observation indicates that most manufacturers prefer to delay commitments as long as possible while suppliers prefer early commitments. In this paper, we investigate whether these goals are always in the firm's best interest. In particular, we find that the manufacturer may sometimes be better off with a contract that requires an early commitment to its order quantity, before the supplier commits resources and the supplier may sometimes be better off with a delayed commitment. We also find that the preferred commitment time frame depends upon which member of the supply chain has the power to set their exchange price. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. On the hierarchy of γ‐valid cuts in global optimization

Concavity Cuts play an important role in concave minimization. In Porembski, J Global Optim 15 ( 17 ), 371–404 we extended the concept underlying concavity cuts which led to the development of decomposition cuts. In numerical experiments with pure cutting plane algorithms for concave minimization, decomposition cuts have been shown to be superior to concavity cuts. However, three points remained open. First, how to derive decomposition cuts in the degenerate case. Second, how to ensure dominance of decomposition cuts over concavity cuts. Third, how to ensure the finite convergence of a pure cutting plane algorithm solely by decomposition cuts. These points will be addressed in this paper. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ATIE:一种自适应的可调域间出口选择算法

TIE算法能对域间出口的选择进行调节,但是该算法的参数计算过于复杂,并且出口选择的调节并不能随负载的变化而变化,因此提出了一种自适应的可调域间出口选择算法ATIE,该算法能够满足流量工程和网络健壮性要求,并通过参数T的改变随当前负载的变化而变化.实验表明,ATIE算法能够在控制剖面敏感性和随负载变化的流量工程自适应性上达到合理的折衷.     

多量子阱红外焦平面阵列研制进展

研制红外凝视成像导引头的一项关键技术,是要制造大面积的性能均匀的红外焦平面阵列。近年来,从能带工程的观点出发,使用以现代薄膜技术制造的多量子阱超晶格材料,采用微电子技术研制的多量子阱红外焦平面阵列的工作进展很快,备受人们关注。了解有关的发展背景、基本原理、先进技术和研制实例是十分有益的。     

垂直刚性面边界条件下水下爆炸气泡运动的理论研究

为研究垂直边界面对水下爆炸气泡脉动的影响,根据势流理论建立了垂直边界面条件下水下爆炸气泡运动的理论模型,编制计算程序进行求解。对水下爆炸气泡脉动运动的特点、流场的速度及压力的分布、气泡引起的载荷形式进行了分析,结果表明,此模型能够反映水下爆炸气泡和周围流体介质的运动规律,并能进行定量的计算。     

临近空间大型柔性充气囊体结构特性分析*(专题约稿)

以临近空间平流层飞艇柔性充气囊体为研究对象,根据充气结构设计理论对充气囊体结构的最小压差和应力进行计算,建立平流层飞艇充气囊体结构有限元模型,在模型验证的基础上,采用非线性有限元方法对平流层飞艇充气囊体结构特性进行仿真分析,得到了囊体结构在不同压差和吊舱载荷作用下应力和变形分布及变化规律,并分析了结构加强配置对囊体应力和变形的影响,为平流层飞艇结构设计提供技术支撑和参考依据。     

‘Calmly critical’: Evolving Russian views of US hegemony

Russia has consistently opposed US hegemony since the early 1990s. Moscow has sought to create a world overseen by the UN Security Council and several power centres supporting an anti-hegemonic axis. Until recently, Russia's resources have been very limited. Russian opposition therefore was largely conceptual or a work in progress. Russian policy was largely reactive – and non-confrontational. However, the failure of the Russia-US relationship to develop practically has highlighted negative views of US hegemony, and the greater wealth generated through high energy prices is supporting an increasingly active Russian policy.     

纯方位交叉定位算法分析

针对纯方位交叉定位中存在着地球曲率对定位精度影响的问题,提出了基于正北方向修正和椭球模型两种定位算法.通过与传统的交叉定位算法比较,可以看出这两种算法具有较好的定位精度.在理论上分析了测量误差和观测站位置误差对定位精度产生的影响,给出了几何精度因子（GDOP）的理论推导和仿真结果.
