Single batch machine scheduling with deliveries

We consider the problem of scheduling a set of n jobs on a single batch machine, where several jobs can be processed simultaneously. Each job j has a processing time p_j and a size s_j. All jobs are available for processing at time 0. The batch machine has a capacity D. Several jobs can be batched together and processed simultaneously, provided that the total size of the jobs in the batch does not exceed D. The processing time of a batch is the largest processing time among all jobs in the batch. There is a single vehicle available for delivery of the finished products to the customer, and the vehicle has capacity K. We assume that K = rD, where and r is an integer. The travel time of the vehicle is T; that is, T is the time from the manufacturer to the customer. Our goal is to find a schedule of the jobs and a delivery plan so that the service span is minimized, where the service span is the time that the last job is delivered to the customer. We show that if the jobs have identical sizes, then we can find a schedule and delivery plan in time such that the service span is minimum. If the jobs have identical processing times, then we can find a schedule and delivery plan in time such that the service span is asymptotically at most 11/9 times the optimal service span. When the jobs have arbitrary processing times and arbitrary sizes, then we can find a schedule and delivery plan in time such that the service span is asymptotically at most twice the optimal service span. C波段大功率速调管微波源设计

针对传统线性大功率开关调制器难以满足目前微波效应源使用需求的现状,采用多路调制管并联和变压器升压的方法,研究了一种C波段大功率速调管放大器微波效应源,阐述了其设计原理和总体方案,并根据技术指标要求确定了相关电路设计参数,对主要功能电路进行了设计和试验,试验结果证明主要技术指标满足设计要求．

"先王"观念与"法先王"思想基本为同一范畴。"先王"观念与古代中国宗法社会紧密相连,还与中国古人对"政治制度和社会文化的延续性"的深刻认识有关。《尚书》中尚未出现"法先王"一词,但是"先王"观念非常浓厚,是中国"法先王"思想的文献源头。"先王"观念也是历史观念的重要体现,它与"殷鉴"思想、"忧患"意识一起构成了《尚书》历史功用思想的整体,并对后世产生了很大影响。     

Approximation algorithms for minimizing total weighted completion time of orders on identical machines in parallel

We consider the problem of scheduling orders on identical machines in parallel. Each order consists of one or more individual jobs. A job that belongs to an order can be processed by any one of the machines. Multiple machines can process the jobs of an order concurrently. No setup is required if a machine switches over from one job to another. Each order is released at time zero and has a positive weight. Preemptions are not allowed. The completion time of an order is the time at which all jobs of that order have been completed. The objective is to minimize the total weighted completion time of the orders. The problem is NP‐hard for any fixed number (≥2) of machines. Because of this, we focus our attention on two classes of heuristics, which we refer to as sequential two‐phase heuristics and dynamic two‐phase heuristics. We perform a worst case analysis as well as an empirical analysis of nine heuristics. Our analyses enable us to rank these heuristics according to their effectiveness, taking solution quality as well as running time into account. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 基于SoPC和NFS的虚拟SATA硬盘

大数据背景下,网络文件系统NFS作为一种成熟的分布式文件系统,为数据存储、管理提供了良好解决方案;So PC是基于软硬件协同设计的片上可编程系统,应用前景十分广泛。系统以SATA硬盘为存储介质实现了一个基于So PC的完整网络存储结构。重点介绍了如何在FPGA内嵌Micro Blaze处理器上设计实现NFS服务组件、文件系统软件,以及如何设计实现SATA硬盘控制硬件IP核。经Xilinx的XUPV5_LX110T开发平台调试验证,So PC网络存储软硬件系统工作正常,可以用作云存储的虚拟资源节点。     

AFRICOM: hard or soft power initiative?

The United States (US) Africa Command (AFRICOM) was launched in 2007, ostensibly to foster African security. Rather than focusing on traditional military operations, AFRICOM also embraces non-military activities such as humanitarian aid and African development. This begs the question as to what type of power (hard or soft) the US intends to wield through AFRICOM. Several US official statements have emphasised the soft power attributes of this military project. To this end, this article seeks to respond to two fundamental questions. First, is AFRICOM a soft power project? Second, how, if at all, has AFRICOM enhanced perceptions of the US in Africa? The article concludes that sceptical and negative perceptions of AFRICOM inhibit its soft-power objective of winning the hearts and minds of the African people.

基于UDVR的低压配电线路雷击电压跌落治理仿真

采用分相控制的UDVR主电路结构,利用瞬时波形比较法,基于三角波比较的delta增量逆变技术,建立了UDVR的PSCAD／EMTDC仿真模型,解决了低压配电网线路遭受雷击、绝缘子闪络等引发的单相接地故障在线路重合闸期间引发的电压跌落问题,保证了敏感负荷在此期间的持续供电的电能质量．仿真结果表明：模型建立正确,控制方法可行．
