基于区域的小波变换图像压缩

摘    要:由于小波变换的全局分解性,因而并不适用于固定形状(或对象)的图像分解。为了解决这个问题,本文提出了基于感兴趣区域的小波变换(RWT),在计算复杂度上与现有算法相比有所减小。由于RWT算法仅仅处理原始图像中的区域部分,因而与传统的小波变换相比,它的计算复杂度要小的多。实验结果表明,图像中的任何区域都可用RwT算法分解,用R册逆运算完全重构。此外,在压缩比相同的情况下,由于RWT算法产生较少的高频的信息,因而要比形状自适应小波变换实用。

Abstract:Wavelet transform is not applicable to the arbitrarily shaped region (or object) in images, due to the nature of its global decomposition. In order to solve this problem, the region - based wavelet transform (RWT) is proposed and its computational complexity is examined in this brief. It is shown that the RWT re- quires significantly fewer computations than Conventional wavelet transform, since the RWT processes only the object region in the original image. Experimental results show that any arbitrarily shaped region in images can be decomposed using the RWT and perfectly reconstructed using the inverse RWT. Furthermore, the RWT out- performs the shape - adaptive wavelet transform (SAWT) in PSNR at the same compression ratio since the for- mer generates less high -freouene, v inf,~,-~f;~
