Abstract: | AbstractA newly recorded wildfowling gun of Col. Peter Hawker and the history of his double-barrelled punt gun, both made by Durs Egg but the punt gun also receiving the attention of William Fullerd, Joe Manton, Westley Richards, Daniel Long of Andover and Thomas Parsons of Salisbury. Used in the waters off Keyhaven, Hants., where he had built a cottage. Elijah Buckle, professional wildfowler, helped design his punt and its carriage as well as other stanchion guns. |
