A substantial logical starting point of self - innovation The interpretion of the statement: the progressiveness of The Party is concrete and historical

The working report of the 16th congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out: "the progressiveness of the Party is concrete and historical". This statement is, under the deep consciousness of prospect-hardship, the result of comrade Jiang Zemin's and the Party Central Committee's introspection of the future and destiny of our Party, and the manifesto of our Party's self-criticism and self-innovation under the new historical circumstances. To uphold the progressiveness of the Party, the author in this paper has searched out a substantial logical starting point of theory of the Party building and a point of directing our Party's effort of practice. Advancement has never been abstract, neither is the progressiveness of the working class and our Party. Whether they are progressive or not depends on what and how they practice, and the most important, this is because the practice of our Party and the criterion of social improvement are concrete, historical, comprehensive and relative.
