Operation Concept and Key Techniques of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Swarms

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle （UAV） Swarms is becoming the rudiments of operation concept. In this paper, the concept of UAV swarms was summarized firstly. Then the main key techniques of UAV swarms were analyzed, including mass UAVs management and control, multiple UAVs autonomous formation flight, swarm perception and situation sharing, swarm penetration and attack, and mission control station for UAV swarms. Finally, the combat applications of UAV swarms were given in cooperative search, cooperative electronic combat, cooperative attack, cooperative reconnaissance- strike, and swarm counter.
