| Abstract: | The International Development Group (IDG) has been created by the Australian government to establish a new peacekeeping police institution and meet the relevant needs of Canberra's new regional security strategy.The operational mechanism and idea of the new institution deserve attention and learning.Through the new institution,Australia will be able to expand and take a lead in the police operations in the South Pacific region.Nevertheless,Australia's assertiveness is faced with challenges. |
