Gas and particulate emissions from ship transportation have been increasing in recent years. In order to mitigate ship emissions near coastal areas, voluntary vessel speed reduction incentive programs (VSRIPs) were put in place by a number of ports. This paper studies a schedule design problem faced by liner shipping companies under VSRIPs. It proposes a mixed-integer nonlinear mathematical model for the minimization of the total cost, consisting of fuel cost, as well as operating cost, minus dockage refunds. The model balances three determinants, that is, the compliance of VSRIPs, the speed limit (the maximum physical speed of ships and the upper speed limit imposed by VSRIPs), and the limited number of ships. An enumerative algorithm and a piecewise-linear approximation algorithm are developed, based on some properties of the nonlinear model. The efficiency of the proposed algorithms is validated through extensive computational experiments. 相似文献

随着系统规模、芯片功耗和链路速率的提升,高性能互连网络的整体故障率也不断上升,传统运维方式将难以为继,给高性能计算系统整体可靠性和可用性带来了巨大挑战。针对网络端口阻塞这类严重网络故障,提出无监督算法的预测模型。该模型从历史信息中挖掘征兆性规律并形成新的特征向量,应用K-means聚类算法对特征向量进行学习归类。在预测时,结合端口当前状态,利用二次指数平滑算法对未来状态进行预测,将得到的新特征向量使用K-means算法预判是否会发生阻塞故障。利用拓扑结构信息,分别对叶交换机和根交换机构建预测子模型,进而提升预测的精确率。结果表明,该预测模型能保持在召回率为88.2%的前提下,达到65.2%的准确率,可为运维人员提供有效的辅助。 相似文献

We present a ship scheduling problem concerned with the pickup and delivery of bulk cargoes within given time windows. As the ports are closed for service at night and during weekends, the wide time windows can be regarded as multiple time windows. Another issue is that the loading/discharging times of cargoes may take several days. This means that a ship will stay idle much of the time in port, and the total time at port will depend on the ship's arrival time. Ship scheduling is associated with uncertainty due to bad weather at sea and unpredictable service times in ports. Our objective is to make robust schedules that are less likely to result in ships staying idle in ports during the weekend, and impose penalty costs for arrivals at risky times (i.e., close to weekends). A set partitioning approach is proposed to solve the problem. The columns correspond to feasible ship schedules that are found a priori. They are generated taking the uncertainty and multiple time windows into account. The computational results show that we can increase the robustness of the schedules at the sacrifice of increased transportation costs. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 根据多核DSP的应用特点,介绍了一种面向异构多核DSP的数据流传输控制引擎(DSTCE)的结构与设计,并实现了基于DSTCE的数据流前瞻传输技术.该技术以可编程的DSTCE模块为核心,实现了超节点内各个端口之间以及超节点之间的高效数据流传输,而且将传输过程与多核间的数据前瞻和编程模型有机结合起来.该技术避免了复杂的Cache一致性问题,显著提高了大规模多核DSP计算与访存的并行性.实验结果表明,采用DSTCE的多核DSP单个超节点的性能平均提高了22%,两个超节点情况下基于DSTCE结构的系统比基于CC-NUMA结构的系统性能平均提高了14%. 相似文献

Modeling and solution for the ship stowage planning problem of coils in the steel industry 下载免费PDF全文
We consider a ship stowage planning problem where steel coils with known destination ports are to be loaded onto a ship. The coils are to be stowed on the ship in rows. Due to their heavy weight and cylindrical shape, coils can be stowed in at most two levels. Different from stowage problems in previous studies, in this problem there are no fixed positions on the ship for the coils due to their different sizes. At a destination port, if a coil to be unloaded is not at a top position, those blocking it need to be shuffled. In addition, the stability of ship has to be maintained after unloading at each destination port. The objective for the stowage planning problem is to minimize a combination of ship instability throughout the entire voyage, the shuffles needed for unloading at the destination ports, and the dispersion of coils to be unloaded at the same destination port. We formulate the problem as a novel mixed integer linear programming model. Several valid inequalities are derived to help reducing solution time. A tabu search (TS) algorithm is developed for the problem with the initial solution generated using a construction heuristic. To evaluate the proposed TS algorithm, numerical experiments are carried out on problem instances of three different scales by comparing it with a model‐based decomposition heuristic, the classic TS algorithm, the particle swarm optimization algorithm, and the manual method used in practice. The results show that for small problems, the proposed algorithm can generate optimal solutions. Strengthening the United States' ability to prevent adversaries from smuggling nuclear materials into the country is a vital and ongoing issue. The prospect of additional countries, such as Iran, obtaining the know‐how and equipment to produce these special nuclear materials in the near future underscores the need for efficient and effective inspection policies at ports and border crossings. In addition, the reduction of defense and homeland security budgets in recent years has made it increasingly important to accomplish the interdiction mission with fewer funds. Addressing these complications, in this article, we present a novel two‐port interdiction model. We propose using prior inspection data as a low‐cost way of increasing overall interdiction performance. We provide insights into two primary questions: first, how should a decision maker at a domestic port use detection data from the foreign port to improve the overall detection capability? Second, what are potential limitations to the usefulness of prior inspection data—is it possible that using prior data actually harms decision making at the domestic port? We find that a boundary curve policy (BCP) that takes into account both foreign and domestic inspection data can provide a significant improvement in detection probability. 为提升E-PHEMT微波宽带放大器的抗静电能力,在分析放大器3个端口电路结构的基础上,兼顾静电保护效果、电路尺寸、微波特性与被保护电路的有机结合,提出基于PIN二极管作为基本组成元件的微波宽带放大器静电保护电路的设计方法和思路,并研制出实物样品.通过试验对比放大器改进前后的电性能和抗静电能力,其结果表明:改进后样品的微波特性满足规范要求、抗静电能力由500V提高到2 000V.该设计方法和思路在保障放大器电特性的基础上,提升了放大器的抗静电能力. 相似文献

The quay crane scheduling problem consists of determining a sequence of unloading and loading movements for cranes assigned to a vessel in order to minimize the vessel completion time as well as the crane idle times. Idle times originate from interferences between cranes since these roll on the same rails and a minimum safety distance must be maintained between them. The productivity of container terminals is often measured in terms of the time necessary to load and unload vessels by quay cranes, which are the most important and expensive equipment used in ports. We formulate the quay crane scheduling problem as a vehicle routing problem with side constraints, including precedence relationships between vertices. For small size instances our formulation can be solved by CPLEX. For larger ones we have developed a branch‐and‐cut algorithm incorporating several families of valid inequalities, which exploit the precedence constraints between vertices. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We study how changes to the composition and employment of the US Navy combat logistic force (CLF) influence our ability to supply our navy worldwide. The CLF consists of about 30 special transport ships that carry ship and aircraft fuel, ordnance, dry stores, and food, and deliver these to client combatant ships underway, making it possible for our naval forces to operate at sea for extended periods. We have modeled CLF operations to evaluate a number of transforming initiatives that simplify its operation while supporting an even larger number of client ships for a greater variety of missions. Our input is an employment schedule for navy battle groups of ships operating worldwide, extending over a planning horizon of 90–180 days. We show how we use optimization to advise how to sustain these ships. We have used this model to evaluate new CLF ship designs, advise what number of ships in a new ship class would be needed, test concepts for forward at‐sea logistics bases in lieu of conventional ports, demonstrate the effects of changes to operating policy, and generally try to show whether and how the CLF can support planned naval operations. In this paper, we study a m‐parallel machine scheduling problem with a non‐crossing constraint motivated by crane scheduling in ports. We decompose the problem to allow time allocations to be determined once crane assignments are known and construct a backtracking search scheme that manipulates domain reduction and pruning strategies. Simple approximation heuristics are developed, one of which guarantees solutions to be at most two times the optimum. For large‐scale problems, a simulated annealing heuristic that uses random neighborhood generation is provided. 在雷达情报处理系统中,大量采用串口通信方式传输雷达情报。雷达情报串口传输质量是雷达情报处理系统中需要考虑的问题。针对现状,探讨了三种检测和评估串口传输质量的方法即主动方式、被动方式和主被动结合方式,主被动结合检测与评估方法更适合应用于雷达情报处理系统。该方法结合物理层、数据链路层、报文层信息,从误码率、误帧/组率和错报率的角度进行分析,利用串口协议通信服务设备和报文产生器对雷达情报串口传输质量进行检测与评估,已成功应用于实际工程中,收到了较好的效果。 相似文献

Between 2014 and 2017, no less than 10 different non-governmental organizations (NGOs) conducted maritime Search and Rescue (SAR) operations off the coast of Libya. By rescuing over 100,000 migrants in three years, these NGOs became the largest provider of SAR in the Mediterranean. The theory of institutionalism suggests that organizations conducting similar activities are likely to converge in a process of mimetic isomorphism, deliberately imitating one another to increase their effectiveness and cope with uncertainty. These 10 SAR NGOs, however, developed two different rescue models: While some rescued migrants and disembarked them in Italian ports, others only simply assisted those in distress until the arrival of another ship transporting them to land. They also cooperated with Italian and European authorities to different degrees. Why did SAR NGOs imitated many elements of existing non-governmental rescue models, but discarded some others? This article argues that differences in material capabilities and organizational role conceptions are crucial to explain why newer SAR NGOs have imitated most but not all of their predecessors’ policies, engaging in a process of “selective emulation.” 相似文献
